Trump ditches blonde pompadour for silver locks and the Twittersphere can't handle it

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The moment Donald Trump took to the podium at the Rose Garden at the White House Tuesday afternoon, the Twittersphere lit up.

No, it wasn't to attack or embrace one of his administration's policies. No, it wasn't to ridicule or celebrate him.

Jaws dropped when he stepped out without his trademark blonde pompadour  -- but with hair that was decidedly more silver with a blue tint.

"Hair to the Chief," proclaimed The New York Post.

Trump's actually not been shy to talk about his mane, telling Rolling Stone in 2011, "OK, what I do is, wash it with Head and Shoulders. I don’t dry it, though. I let it dry by itself. It takes about an hour."

There's no word on what's up with the president's hair, but the Twittersphere lit up -- some loving it and some hating it. Here's a sampling:
