NEW YORK (1010 WINS) –  10 suspected Trinitario gang members have been taken into custody in a takedown in the Bronx Wednesday morning, sources told 1010 WINS.

A total of 10 locations were raided and the alleged head of Los Sures, a group within the Trinitarios, was arrested in a house in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx, according to PIX11.

Five alleged members are being sought by police.

A shotgun and handgun were recovered in the raids.

The raids and arrests relate to a series of violent attacks, include two brutal assaults.

The first was an October 2017 attack on St. Nicholas Ave. in Washington Heights in which the victim was stabbed over 10 times.

The second occurred two days before Junior Guzman was fatally stabbed and macheted.

A 14-year-old was stabbed 16 times on the Bronx River Parkway.

He survived but lost a kidney.

Two suspects are linked to the Junior Guzman case, in which five people have been convicted in Guzman’s murder.

There are two sects of the gang in New York, one from the Bronx and one from Brooklyn, but the violence centered on the south Bronx and northern Manhattan.
