Toddler dies after falling out of window in Brooklyn building

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A two-year-old boy who fell out of a sixth floor window in a high-rise building in Brooklyn has died.

The incident was reported at approximately 11:06 a.m., at 760 Eldert Lane in East New York, where officials performed CPR on the toddler, before taking him to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition. 

Parents told police they thought boy was asleep then heard screams.

The child was later pronounced dead, police say.
