Thunderstorms moving through tristate; flooding, hail, strong winds possible

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Thunderstorms moving through the tristate Monday afternoon and evening could cause flooding and bring strong winds with them.  

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Rockland and Westchester counties and Bergen County in New Jersey until 5:45 p.m.

A flash flood warning, meanwhile, has been issued for New York City and parts of New Jersey until 7 p.m. 

The storms moving through the area could bring damaging winds and hail, particularly west and south of New York City, according to Accuweather.
