Three men struck by lightning in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three men are in the hospital after being struck by lightning in Queens Tuesday night.

A 33-year-old man was struck in Jamaica and was taken to a hospital in Elmhurst with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two others were playing soccer in a field at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park when they were struck at around 7:30 p.m.

The two were immediately treated by NYPD officers who were holding an event in the park and taken to Jacobi Medical Center.

One man suffered burns all over his body and is currently in critical condition.

The names of the three men were not released.
