There she goes Miss America: Reports say pageant is leaving Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- There she goes Miss America.

The pageant left Atlantic City once before, when it was staged in Las Vegas from 2006 to 2013, and reports say it's planning to leave again.

New Jersey's Casino Reinvestment Development Authority reportedly did not respond to a request for proposal for the 2020 and 2021 competitions.

It spent $12 million to stage the pageant over the past three years in Atlantic City.

According to reports, the Miss America organization sas future host cities will have to pay between $2.5 and $4.9 million plus an additional $325,000 for other expenses. In addition, Miss America Chairwoman Gretchen Carlson would require a presidential suite.
