NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine told a Manhattan courtroom Thursday that Cardi B is a member of the gang Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

A rep for Cardi B, who was born in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx, was quick to dismiss the claim, saying, "she’s not and has never been affiliated with this gang."

Hold up, though.

In a "GQ" profile last year, Cardi B acknowledged a relationship with the Bloods.

"Here's the thing," Cardi said. "I never really wanted to talk about that, because I always wanted a music deal. I always want to keep my endorsements. When I was 16 years old, I used to hang out with a lot of"—agonizing, cliff-diver pause—"Bloods. I used to pop off with my homies. And they'd say, 'Yo, you really get it poppin'. You should come home. You should turn Blood.' And I did. Yes, I did. And something that—it's not like, oh, you leave. You don't leave.

And then Cardi B posted a tweet -- that she deleted aftewards -- in which she seems to say she is a Blood but not associated with 9 Trey.

TMZ captured the apparent tweet before it was deleted:
