Target Targeted? Armed Robbers Make Off With $50,000 From Bronx Store
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking for two brazen armed robbery suspects who held up the manager of a Target store in broad daylight.
The robbery happened at around 8:40 a.m Monday at the Target on 40 West 225th Street in the Marble Hill section of The Bronx.
Just as the Target opened for the day, the two men forced their way into the manager's office, showed a gun and made off with as much as $50,000, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.
"That must be an inside job, it's no way around it," said Target shopper Orlando. "You can't just go up to the commercial store and say 'here I am.' That must be an inside job."
Police are looking through surveillance video from inside and outside the store hoping to find the suspects.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
