SUV drives into Chicago-area mall, striking kiosks and terrifying shoppers, at least 2 reportedly injured

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Chaos ensued at a suburban Chicago shopping mall Friday afternoon after an SUV drove inside the mall, striking kiosks, terrifying shoppers and putting the mall in lockdown. 

Fox News reported that at least two people reportedly injured.

According to WGN, the SUV drove through the mall around 2:30 p.m., striking kiosks. 

Video posted to social media showed a black SUV driving past stores like Forever 21 and H&M on the lower level of Woodfield Mall in Schaumberg, as shoppers fled. 

The driver of the SUV is reportedly now in custody. 

According to ABC affiliate WLS, the vehicle entered through the Sears storefront. WLS also reported that Sears is now closed and that the mall was placed on lockdown, according to a mall employee.
