Suspects In Bronx Bodega Stabbing Won't Testify In Front Of Grand Jury

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The suspects in the machete murder of 15-year-old Lesandro 'Junior' Guzman Feliz outside of a Bronx bodega, were in court for a hearing on Monday.

One by one, seven of the eight defendants made court appearances. Only four of them actually left a holding cell to stand before a judge.

Defense attorneys for all seven announced that their clients would not be testifying before the grand jury. All seven remained without bond and will be held at Rikers Island until their next court appearance on July 16.

Junior was killed outside of a Bronx bodega in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity.

The courtroom was packed with family and friends of the victim and nearly two doezen court officers keeping a close eye on the proceedings.
