NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- They had to go out of state to do it, but the NYPD said they've got the predator who viciously beat and raped a woman in Queens last week.

The bust went down in a motel in Columbia, South Carolina with federal marshals and New York City cops cuffing the suspect identified as 21-year-old Ronald Williams.

Friends and neighbors of the 52-year-old woman who was raped remain shaken.

"When I heard about it, I was just, almost fainted," one woman said.

"I was so scared when I heard about the lady, and I scared because I work in the morning, 5:30 in the morning every day," another added.

The cold-blooded brute who attacked the woman on the morning of April 30, beat her so badly, he broke her neck and left her lying unconscious. The suspect is being returned to New York City on a parole violation.
