Suffolk County SPCA Sets Up 'GoFundMe' Page To Help Severely-Injured Dog Named Frankie

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The Suffolk County SPCA has issued an appeal for help with a severely-injured dog named Frankie.

Officials say the 1-year-old male beagle mix was found in a truckyard tied up on a short leash with no water.

Frankie was struck by a vehicle earlier this month and had received no veterinary care. He has a leg that was dislocated in two spots, a broken bone, an open wound and an injured hip joint.
The dog's owner was arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

Authorities have set up a GoFundMe page to treat Frankie so his leg doesn't have to be amputated.
