SOUTHOLD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County detectives working on a 52-year-old cold case went to a home on Lower Road in Southold on Monday, and found skeletal remains in the basement.

Investigators said the medical examiner will attempt to identify the remains to determine whether they are those of Louise Pietrewicz, who disappeared in 1966 at the age of 38.

The home is said to have once belonged to her then boyfriend William Boken who died in 1982.

The current owner has no connection to the case.
