NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD has a man who groped a rider on a subway on Wednesday in custody, authorities say.

The NYPD says the man, identified as 67-year-old Gian Verdelli, has at least 30 arrests in New York City, and Port Authority police say he has at least 168 total.

In this most recent incident, Verdelli allegedly put his hand under a 37-year-old woman’s dress on the L train and rubbed her genital area.

The victim and the suspect both left the subway at 1st Avenue.

Verdelli was picked up on Wards Island where he was staying in a homeless shelter.
