NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- This may come as no surprise, but according to a new study, New Jersey is the most-stressed out state, with New York coming in at fifth place.

The study was commissioned by career site Zippia, and used criteria such as commute times, unemployment rates, length of work day, population density and the home price to income ratio.

The hustle and bustle of New York City may have some surprised that the Empire State came fifth. Georgia, Florida, and California followed New Jersey.

After New York, the states that rounded out the top 10 were Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and Mississippi.
