Spring has sprung: Temps reach 70s Monday before Tuesday showers

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – After a rainy Monday morning, temperatures are set to rise into the 70s to start the work week.

Rain moved out across Long Island before dawn Monday, making way for a partly cloudy day with a high of 73 degrees, AccuWeather says.

Some sun will break through the clouds over the day. Monday night is mild with a low of 57.

Tuesday rain

AccuWeather says the spring weather continues Tuesday, when temperatures will hit 66 degrees. It will be cloudy again, and there could be an afternoon shower or thunderstorm in spots.

The cool down begins Wednesday, according to AccuWeather. It will be blustery and cooler despite sunshine. Highs will reach the upper 50s.

Temperatures drop to the mid-50s on Thursday under partly cloudy skies, AccuWeather says.

Highs then inch up to the low 60s on a cloudy Friday.
