NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The son of an assistant to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams has died after being shot in broad daylight Sunday, police said.

Authorities said two men were shot at around 4 p.m. at Spencer Place and Hancock Street in Bed-Stuy.

One of the men died and was identified as Jack Lester. Adam’s office later confirmed that he was the son of an employee close to the borough president.

“A member of our Brooklyn Borough Hall family has lost one of their own. We share in mourning the life that #gunviolence tragically claimed yesterday afternoon in Bed-Stuy,” Adams tweeted Monday morning. “I am as resolute as ever to combat this epidemic that has deeply hurt so many of us.”

The condition of the other victim wasn't immediately released.

No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.
