So long thunderstorms and humidity: August kicks off with near-normal temps and plenty of sun

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Say so long to Tuesday's showers, thunderstorms, and flash flooding: August will kick off with near-normal highs, low humidity, and plenty of sun. 

On Wednesday, clouds will break for some sun. It will be very warm and a bit less humid in the afternoon. High 86.

There'll be patchy clouds Wednesday night. Low 71 in the city, 60s across many suburbs. 

Friday will be glorious, with sunshine and some clouds. High 84.

On Saturday, there will be more clouds than sun; warm with moderate humidity; an afternoon thunderstorm in places. High 85.

Looking ahead, Sunday will be very warm and humid; can't rule out a stray thunderstorm. Highs in the upper 80s, AccuWeather RealFeels back into the 90s.
