Showers, gusty thunderstorms moving through tristate; 30 mph wind possible

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Showers moving into New York City Monday evening could bring wind gusts of up to 30 mph, the National Weather Service said.

Parts of the tristate could see rain and gusty thunderstorms Monday evening, and temperatures will take a dip, with a low of 41 degrees expected.


Freeze watches and warnings have been issued for the inland suburbs of New Jersey. 

Tuesday is expected to be breezy, partly sunny and unseasonably chilly, with a high of 59 degrees. 

Tuesday evening should be clear and cold, with temperatures in the low 40s in the city and in the low to mid 40s in the suburbs. 

Wednesday will likely be sunny, with a high of 62 degrees.
