4 injured after shooting at party on Long Island
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Four people were shot while attended a party on Long Island Saturday night, according to police.
The victims were in the backyard of a home on Dorlon Street in Hempstead.
Just after 11 p.m., a gun was fired from a backyard on Burnett Street and multiple bullets penetrated a solid PVC fence that separated the properties, police said.

A 38-year-old man and 43-year-old man were taken to Nassau University Medical Center. A 41-year-old woman and 42-year-old woman were taken to Winthrop Hospital.
“To come back here and see, you know, people with holes in their legs, and like my good friend – he’s like my little brother, laying there with a shot to his stomach, it’s heartbreaking,” said a sister of one of the victims.
There was no word on their conditions, but she expects them all to make a full recovery.
She believes none of the victims were the intended target of the shooting.
Nassau County police did not release any information on the shooter and the motive for the attack remains unclear.
