Bit-And-Run: Shoplifter chomps on worker during Macy’s confrontation

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY (1010 WINS) -- Cops on Long Island are trying to take a bite out of crime, by tracking down an alleged shoplifter that took a bite out of a department store employee.

Police say Macy's employees tried to stop a woman from stealing clothing at the Huntington Station store. She bit a worker and took off in a car that is believed to be a black BMW with Pennsylvania plates.

The woman appears to have a tattoo on the upper right portion of her back.

Suffolk County Police are asking anyone with information to call 1-800-220 TIPS. A $5,000 cash reward is offered for an arrest in the case.
