Gillibrand announces she's running for president in 2020

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand announced that she is seeking the Democratic nomination in the 2020 presidential race, in a video released Sunday. 

In the video titled "Brave Wins",  the senator from New York is talking directly to the camera as she makes her bid official. 

The video finishes with an invitation to join her at the Trump International Hotel on Friday, where she will deliver her first campaign speech.  

In January, Gillibrand announced that she had launched an exploratory committee on  "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
