NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Sean Hannity bought 500 Yankees tickets for New York City healthcare workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic, after being nominated by "Fox & Friends" co-host Ainsley Earhardt to participate in the social media-fueled "Combat COVID-19 Challenge."

The Fox News host said he connected with Yankees president Randy Levine and owner Hal Steinbrenner, who chipped in another 500 tickets.

"Challenge met," Hannity tweeted at Earhardt Sunday night. "I called my friend Randy Levine of the NY @Yankees and purchased 500 Yankee Tkts for The Hero medical workers all over NY. Randy and Hal Steinbrenner and the Yankees immediately donated 500 more tkts!!"

And now he's passing on the torch: "I now Challenge My friends @LaraLeaTrump and @EricTrump," he wrote.

As part of the challenge, participants spend time doing good deeds in their communities and for frontline workers.

Others who've participated in the challenge include Fox News' Pete Hegseth and Sen. Ted Cruz.
