NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- It was a scary ride for students and adults returning from a field trip on Thursday.

At around 4 p.m., one of six school buses overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike ramp to the Goethals Bridge.

The accident happened at the off ramp at exit 13 on the northbound side of the turnpike in Elizabeth.

The bus was packed with students from a Mevaskshei Hashem Yeshiva in Borough Park and was returning from a trip to Diggerland Theme Park in West Berlin when it flipped over.

Luckily, everyone was able to get off of the bus. Five students and one adult suffered only minor injuries, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.

Jones was with parents at the Ocean Parkway Jewish Center who were relieved the injuries were only minor.

"This couldn't have turned out any better," said one father.

The Goethals Bridge ramp was shut down following the accident. The southbound ramp remained open.
