NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Bernie Sanders announced on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast released Tuesday that if he becomes president and learns about aliens, listeners of the podcast will be the first to know.

For most of his hour-long appearance, Sanders discussed issues in the presidential race, including health care, wealth inequality, and student loans.

Before the Vermont senator left though, Rogan asked Sanders if he would tell the public if he found out about extraterrestrial life as president.

After some prodding, Sanders told Rogan that he would announce any information on Rogan’s show if he won the election.

Rogan asked Sanders, "If you got into the office and you found out something about aliens, if you found out something about UFOs, would you let us know?”

Sanders responded, "Well I tell you, my wife would demand I let you know.”

Rogan followed, “Is your wife a UFO nut?”

Sanders said, “No, she’s not a UFO nut. She goes, Bernie, ‘What is going on do you know? Do you have any access?’"

Rogan asked, “You don’t have any access? You’ll let us know though?”

Sanders finally concluded, “Alright, we’ll announce it on the show. How’s that?”

While Sanders hasn’t talked about aliens frequently during his campaign, Rogan has discussed the topic with such guests as Blink 182’s Tom DeLonge and Congressman Mark Walker.
