BROOKHAVEN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A lawsuit is being filed in connection with the high school football training death on Long Island last summer.

Nicholas Peluccia of Sachem said depression and anxiety are now an every day event. He was one of the members of the Sachem football team who was carrying the 400 lbs log that fell and killed his teammate Joshua Mileto.

"I just get really bad anger outbursts, and I barely sleep, probably get two, three hours of sleep at the most. I just wake up with like panic attacks and stuff every night," he said, "I see a counselor like once a week, and it doesn't really change, it's still the same. I feel like the school could have done a lot more to help us with htis, but they haven't. They haven't done anything for us."

His parents are among those suing the Sachem School District for continued trauma and emotional support.

The district declined to comment because of the pending lawsuit.
