NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani says he's joining President Trump's legal team.

Giuliani told The Washington Post he's doing it because he hopes to help negotiate an end to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.  The former mayor says he has high regard for both Trump and Mueller.

Giuliani added he's been talking about the job with the president for weeks. He said he'll be working alongside Trump's current lawyers, Jay Sekulow and Ty Cobb.
