O'Donnell told Variety the abuse started when she was 'very young.'

"Any child who is put in that position, especially by someone in the family, you feel completely powerless and stuck, because the person you would tell is the person doing it," she said.

O'Donnell has long been an advocate for abuse victims. She supported Dylan Farrow after she published a letter in the New York Times claiming her father Woody Allen had assaulted when she was a young girl.

O'Donnell adds that she's also 'very anti-Roman Polanski.'

Her father died in 2015, Rosie's mother passed away when she was 10.
