Roseanne Barr Cancels Tell-All TV Interview, Says She’ll Do It Herself

July 10, 2018 - 7:40 am

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Roseanne Barr has been preparing for her first TV interview since being fired by ABC over a racist tweet, but now says the plans aren’t going to happen.

“After a lot of thought, I decided that I won’t be doing any TV interviews, too stressful & untrustworthy 4 me & my fans,” Barr wrote on Twitter Monday night. “I’m going to film it myself & post it on my youtube channel in the next week – the entire explanation of what happened & why! I love you all-sign up & get ready.”

Over the weekend, Barr teased that she would be participating in a TV interview, but did not give any details. She promised to explain what’s happened in the weeks since she was fired by ABC back in May over a tweet comparing a former Obama adviser to “Planet of the Apes.”

The only other interview she’s given since the “Roseanne” cancelation was for a podcast hosted by her friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. During that conversation, she said her tweet was “misconstrued.”
