LODI, N.J. (1010 WINS) – An apparent road-rage-fueled shooting left one person dead and another person wounded on a New Jersey highway Friday night.

Police said two people in one vehicle were shot in the westbound lanes of Route 80 in Lodi shortly after midnight.

One of the victims died at the scene, while the second person was shot in the shoulder and rushed to a hospital.

A third person in the vehicle was not shot, according to police.

Authorities haven’t released information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. They have said they're looking for a second vehicle but haven't given details about it.
