The fall occurred at about 5:45 at the Secaucus station.

“They opened the doors on the wrong side of the train. Someone fell onto the tracks,” Twitter user MissDS17 tweeted

The same user then tweeted that the emergency brake was pulled because conductors didn’t know what happened.

A spokesperson for NJ Transit told NBC4 the person who fell suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment and that “human error” led to the door being opened on the wrong side.

Another Twitter user posted earlier Monday a photo of the doors being open onto the tracks at Penn Station.

Nobody was fortunately reported to have fallen through.
