Reputed MS-13 member gets 26 years to life for 2-year-old’s rape

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Wednesday was sentencing day for a reputed MS-13 gang member.

Tommy Alvarado-Ventura will serve 26 years to life in prison. Alvarado-Ventura pleaded guilty to stabbing his girlfriend and raping her 2-year-old daughter in Hempstead in 2017.

Authorities also said he tried to kill the child, her mother, and another woman in three separate attacks.

Nassau County DA Madeline Singas called Alvarado-Ventura one of the most dangerous and vicious people ever seen in the county. She said everyone will be safer with him behind bars.

The defendant's attorney says there is no evidence that his client is a member of MS-13.
