Reputed Long Island MS-13 Enforcer Convicted Of Coercion

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Prosecutors say 32-year-old Juan Lopez was an enforcer for MS-13, who threatened to kill those who refused to join the gang.

They pointed to the case of some boys who were confronted by Lopez and fellow gang members in Huntington Station. When the boys resisted, Lopez allegedly told them 'that's how you end up dead in the park.'

The alleged run-in was just days after four gang members were found bludgeoned and stabbed to death in a park in Central Islip.

Prosecutors say Lopez wasn't involved in those killings, but has been convicted of coercion  which is good for one to four years in prison.
