NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Sunday arrested five alleged gang members in a stabbing that left a 15-year-old boy dead in the Bronx last week, according to a published report.

Sources reported the arrests to CBS2 Sunday evening.

The boy, Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, had hoped to grow up to be a police officer.

Police said he had been mistaken for someone else by gang members when he was attacked last week.

Police said Lesandro was stabbed on both sides of his neck on Wednesday night in front of 526 E. 183rd St. in the Belmont section of the borough.

He ran to St. Barnabas Hospital, which is a block away, but he didn’t survive.
