NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The cast of Disney Channel’s “Raven’s Home” will show off its musical chops during Friday night’s episode – appropriately titled “Raven’s Home: Remix” – which was choreographed by Will “WilldaBeast" Adams.

“Raven’s Home” stars Raven-Symoné, who reprises her role as Raven Baxter from the iconic comedy “That’s So Raven.” In Friday’s episode, Booker (Issac Ryan Brown) sets out to snag the starring role in the school’s musical about a boy who loves playing basketball and performing hip-hop.

“For me, it was definitely something that I was really excited about … something that I was looking forward to,” Brown told 1010 WINS’ Rebecca Granet. “We kind of all expected it though … It took me a week to learn all of the choreography and record all of the songs.”

Navia Robinson, who co-stars as Nia Baxter-Carter, was also psyched to shoot the musical episode.

“I have always been really into music from the time I can remember -- acting always came along with music, so they came hand-in-hand,” Robinson said. “I never displayed that in an episode of ‘Raven’s Home’ before so to be able to do it in this way was really cool and definitely out of the routine, a different experience to what we’re so used to on the set, since we’ve gotten into our jam.”

And for Raven-Symoné, who serves as the show’s star and co-executive producer, she said doing double duty meant more work – but she was up to the challenge.

“You have a lot more decisions to make when it comes to that,” she said. “I was very fortunate to have understood the cast and what they listen to. They keep me up on the all the trends what’s happening with this generation, since I’m the older one on the set.”

“So when it was time to pick the music and pick the tracks and who would sing what, where and how this would work for this person,” she said she was well-prepared.

She added, “helping to curate the music and then to find the choreographer was such a journey. We ultimately went with WildaBeast, but there were so many people!”
