Protestors Slam Comey Book As ‘Sham’ Outside Union Square Barnes And Noble

April 19, 2018 - 7:29 am

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Fired FBI Director James Comey brought his book tour to the Barnes And Noble in Union Square on Wednesday night, but not everybody was happy to see him.

A small handful of protestors -- Trump supporters for sure -- showed up. Susan Miller was among them.

"Comey was a fake and that book is a sham, it's already 30 percent off," she said.

Inside the store the former FBI Director discussed his book for just under an hour. It was a sold out room and people like Alex Blake liked what they heard.

"I think his emphasis, generally is something that we're missing in the country," he said.

Only those who bought the book could attend.

As his book tour begins, Comey also finds himself being named by congressional Republicans who have sent the Justice Department and the FBI a referral. They're asking for an investigation of Comey, his deputy Andrew McCabe, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and Hillary Clinton.

Among the items they want investigated are the funding of the infamous anti-Trump dossier, the uranium one deal, and the Clinton email case.

Their referral points to dissimilar degrees of zealousness in pursuing Clinton campaign associates, as opposed to Trump campaign associates.
