NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- State authorities are investigating several longtime professors at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice after two women alleged they sold drugs and had sex with students in a part of the school that became known as “the swamp.”

The college placed four of the professors on administrative leave as the criminal investigation by the New York State inspector general and the Manhattan district attorney unfolds. The New York Times reports that even though Title IX complaints were filed by the women back in May, the college didn’t get reach out to authorities until earlier this month.

The New York Post interviewed both women, who are former students of the school. One of them, Naomi Haber, described being raped by one professor, saying he choked me with both hands and forced himself inside me.

Haber says another professor encouraged her to have sex with academic colleagues, including another professor who was being recruited as a department head.

The second woman, Claudia Cojocaru, says she was groped repeatedly by another professor.

Security officers uncovered drugs and drug paraphernalia during the college’s internal probe, according to the New York Times.

The professors have denied wrongdoing through their lawyers.

Meanwhile, the school says it’s cooperating with law enforcement.
