Powerball and Mega Millions combined jackpot reaches over $2 billion
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- No one claimed the Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot last week, raising the combined prize to over $2 million.
The numbers drawn for Saturday’s Powerball were 16, 54, 57, 62, 69 and the Powerball was 23.
The potential jackpot has now reached $620 million for Wednesday’s drawing. The cash prize is over $354 million.
There was also no winning ticket for the Mega Millions on Friday night. The new jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing is $1.6 million.
The combined prize for Tuesday’s Mega Millions and Wednesday’s Powerball is roughly $2.22 billion.
No one has won the Mega Millions since July 24, when a group of 11 people from California split $543 million.
The Powerball jackpot has been growing since Aug. 11, when a winner from New York claimed the prize.
Both lotteries are played in 44 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
