The poll, published March 20, found 55 percent of respondents said they could afford to live in New York City.

“It’s absolutely crazy. All the prices are up, everything is up now,” one resident told 1010 WINS.

Two union construction workers told 1010 WINS that they would stay in New York while working because the money was good, but thought about moving south after they retired.

The poll surveyed over 1,200 New York state voters.
