Police search for man who groped a girl, 14, while posing as a Con Ed worker

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who groped a 14-year-old girl while posing as a Con Edison worker in Manhattan Wednesday.

A man and woman dressed as Con Edison workers entered an apartment building at about 4:30 p.m. on West 191st Street, police say.

Police say they tried to enter several apartments in the building, including the girl's.

The girl did not let them in to her apartment, but when she attempted to leave and walk down the stairs, the man allegedly touched her buttocks, according to police.

The man is described as black or Hispanic, in his 30s, about 5’10” and 165 lbs., with black hair and a beard.

The woman is described as Hispanic, in her 30s, with blonde hair in a bun.
