Police investigate double shooting in Upper Manhattan

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating after two people were shot Wednesday night in Upper Manhattan. 

Officials say at approximately 10 p.m., a man and woman were shot at the intersection of Post Avenue and West 204 Street in the Inwood section.

The 27-year-old man was shot in the lower back and the 37-year-old woman shot in the leg.

EMS transported both victims to St. Barnabas Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses heard about six shots go off and then a car speed off, going west on West 204 Street, according to the Daily News.

Authorities are investigating whether the shooting was drug-related, the story adds.
