NEW YORK (1010 WINS)-- Officials discovered three bodies inside a Harlem apartment while responding to a wellness check Wednesday night.

At approximately 9:18 p.m, at an apartment located at 151 West 121 Street, police say the body of 46-year-old Yonathan Tedla was discovered in a bedroom, unconscious and unresponsive.

Police responding to a 911 call found 42-year-old Jennifer Schlecht and 5-year-old Abaynesh Schlecht Tedla dead with neck trauma in a Harlem apartment at around 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officials then discovered 42-year-old Jennifer Schlecht in the bathroom, unconscious and unresponsive, with neck trauma, and 5-year-old Abaynesh Schlecht Tedla, discovered in another bedroom, unconscious and unresponsive, also with severe neck trauma.

According to police, the incident is a murder-suicide.

Telda allegedly killed his wife and 5-year-old daughter before killing himself.

Neighbors described them as a loving family say they are upset and shocked at the news.

Schlecht and Telda were going through a divorce and failed to appear for court date Wednesday.

A relative called the police and asked them to check in.

The investigation remains ongoing.
