NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The Chief of Police of the Palisades Interstate Parkway is accused of buying cocaine over the internet.

The acting Bergen County Prosecutor says Michael Coppola allegedly had the coke sent to a post office box.

Prosecutor Dennis Calo said the coke purchases were traced, a sting was setup, and a fake was dropped into the box.

When Coppola picked up his package, he was arrested.

Coppola was suspended after he allegedly offered incentives to officers for writing more tickets.
