NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An MTA bus destroyed a Queens bagel shop after a chain-reaction crash sent it careening through its storefront.

It was just after 5 a.m. when the Q18 bus heading down 58th Street was struck by a speeding Honda and rolled right into the front of Bagels Plus, according to the MTA.

Photos from the scene shows the hole the bus left in the business.

The driver of the bus was alone at the time and was taken to a hospital with wrist and ankle injuries.

Four others were treated at the scene but not seriously injured.

There was a worker in the bagel shop at the time, but he or she wasn’t injured.

A witness named Homer said the bus left complete destruction in its wake.

“It will be awhile before they open that store, because there's a lot of damage,” he told 1010 WINS. “The bus is inside the bagel shop!”
