NYPD: Teen beats 70-year-old man with stick in broad daylight

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 70-year-old man was beaten, reportedly unconscious, in a random and unprovoked attack earlier this month, police say.

The man was walking down Third Avenue in the Claremont Village section of the Bronx on a Saturday afternoon this month when a teen approached him with a stick and hit him over the head.

The victim fell to the ground and was left unconscious, according to The Daily News.

Police say he was taken to Lincoln Hospital to be treated for cuts and bruising and is expected to be OK.

The NYPD released an image of the suspect on Thursday.
