NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is on the hunt for a man who attempted to rape two women on two different occasions.

On Aug. 31, the man approached from behind a woman, 41, in Dyker Heights, placed her in a choke hold and attempted to sexually assault her before she was able to free herself. The victim did refuse medical attention.

Then last week, the man struck again in the lobby of Bay Ridge apartment building lobby.

"A 41-year-old female victim was smoking cigarette in the vestibule when an unknown individual approached her and began to sexually assault her while trying to push her into a stairwell," police said.  "A struggle ensued and the victim was able to push the individual away before he fled in an unknown direction."

The suspect is described as adult male, short black hair, 30 to 40 years-of-age, medium complexion and a large frame. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark blue colored t-shirt and grey sweatpants.
