NYPD searching for man who attempted to rape woman in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking for a man who attempted to rape a woman outside her Queens home Friday.

Authorities say that the incident happened at around 4 a.m. Friday morning near 55th Street and Queens Boulevard.

A 21-year-old woman was opening the front door to her home when a man approached her from behind, police said. The man grabbed her by the arms and pulled her towards him.

The woman was able to break free of the man’s hold and run away. The man then fled the location on foot, the NYPD said.

He was described as a while man standing 5-foot-7 and approximately 150 lbs. He is bald and was last seen wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, a white t-shirt, white pants and black shoes.
