NYPD searching for group responsible for 10 robberies

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD reduced new surveillance footage Thursday night of suspects in 10 robberies over the last two months throughout New York City.

The robberies took place in the Bronx and northern Manhattan.

The first incident took place at about 4 a.m. on Aug. 26 near Broadway and Verveelen Place, according to police.

Two unidentified men exited their vehicle showing off guns and robbed a 30-year-old man and 29-year-old woman who were getting into their car.

They got away with $200 and jewelry.

The next day on Aug. 27 at about 4:55 a.m., the assailants approached a 27-year-old getting food at 9th Avenue and 207th Street.

They displayed their firearms and were able to take $2,000 and $25,000 worth of jewelry from the victim.

On Sept. 2, at about 4 a.m., the suspects displayed a gun and robbed a 33-year-old man entering his home near Montgomery Ave. and West 175th Street, getting away with $29,000 worth of jewelry.

The fourth incident happened on Sept. 14, when a man, 29, was robbed walking to his car at 4:30 a.m near 416 West 203rd Street.

The suspects made off with $14,000 worth of jewelry and $500 in cash.

Next, on Sept. 16, at about 4:25 a.m., the suspects showed off a gun and struck the 37-year-old male victim in the face.

They made off with jewelry worth $15,850 and $600 in cash.

The two men returned on Sept. 19 in front of 3875 Broadway at about 12:15 a.m., when they approached a 33-year-old men sitting inside his car and took $1,000 in cash.

Police reported on Sept. 22 at about 4:20 a.m. outside 25-15 50 Street, two men approached a man, 24, who was seated in his car.

One man displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s property, fleeting with a gold chain and medallion worth approximately $4,000.

The eighth incident occurred, according to authorities, on Oct. 3, at about 6:20 a.m. in front of 3070 Webster Avenue.

The individuals approached a 30-year-old male victim and showed a gun, taking the victim’s gold chain and Rolex watch.

On Oct. 8, at about 5:40 a.m., three people came up to a 28-year-old man outside 566 West 182 Street and showed off a gun.

They managed to take a gold chain and a Rolex before fleeing.

Most recently on Oct. 14, at about 12:40 a.m., three people came up to a man, 30, outside a BP gas station at 3936 10th Avenue and showed him a gun while kicking him.

They took the victim’s gold and diamond chain and Rolex watch.
