NYPD : Pizza man wanted in sucker punch assault on elderly man

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- NYPD are searching for a pizza delivery man who they say sucker punched an elderly man in the Norwood section of the Bronx.

According to police reports, on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at approximately 1:00 p.m., an 89-year-old male victim was involved in a verbal dispute inside of the elevator with an unidentified male delivering pizza in a residential building on Hull Avenue and East 209 Street.

When exiting the elevator, the suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face, pushed him to the ground and then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered a minor cut to the lip and refused medical attention at the scene.

Authorities say that the suspect is a male Hispanic, about 20-25 years-old and was last seen wearing a vest jacket, baseball cap and blue jeans.
