NYPD officer, 37, arrested on child porn charges; allegedly had at least 60 photos of nude children
Westchester DA
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An NYPD patrol officer was arrested Thursday on child pornography charges, the Westchester County District Attorney's office confirmed.
The felony complaint alleges that John Telesca, 37, was found to have at least 60 images of nude children, approximately ages 8 to 13, on his digital devices and shared through email.
Telesca, who works in the Bronx and lives in Port Chester was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child, a class D felony. He was also charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
Telesca was arraigned in Port Chester Village Court Thursday. He was arrested earlier in the day at his home by Westchester County District Attorney's Office Investigators High Technology Crime Squad.
Telesca was released on $5,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 12.
